My artwork honors the divine feminine as a source of beauty, wisdom, and courage—an ancient force rising to heal, inspire, and transform our world at this pivotal moment in time.

A single symbol carries eons of spiritual truths and emotional memories. Symbols are able to to communicate directly with our inner world without using words. Dwennimmen is an Adinkra symbol, originating from the Akan people of West Africa. “Dwennimmen” translates to "ram's horns” and represents both Humility and Strength. Ram’s horns are most commonly symbols of masculine strength, but their spiral shape also carries archetypal feminine symbology. The ram, in physical form, embodies the sacred duality of feminine and masculine. Its spiraling horns evoking crescent moons, cycles, fertility, and intuition, are inseparable from the ram’s body, rooted in will, action, and fire. The ram is a living symbol of feminine wisdom and masculine strength moving as one.

When the feminine and the masculine are in balance, we experience a profound sense of wholeness and alignment. However, when one energy dominates the other, it leads to strife and suffering. In recent decades, there has been a resurgence of interest and appreciation for the divine feminine, as a vital transformative force in a world of conflict and polarization due, in large part, to a predominantly masculine-centric worldview. The divine feminine is a universal energy that resides within all individuals, regardless of gender. Similarly, the divine masculine is not exclusively the realm of men. Each of us contains a unique blend of feminine and masculine energies, which work in harmony to create a whole and balanced existence.

ARTIST STATEMENT

When the soul wants to experience something she throws out an image in front of her and then steps into it.

Meister Eckhart, 14th century mystic

As an intuitive abstract artist my work arises from the depths of my subconscious, with dreams, memories, myths and fairy tales serving as sources of inspiration. My art reflects an encounter between the visible world and the unseen imaginal realm. I begin with a blank canvas and no fixed plan, allowing colors, shapes, symbols and images to reveal themselves with each mark and brushstroke. During this process, insights from deep within me emerge and unfold on the canvas as a visual form of storytelling.

Art is a shared experience. I create art that sparks curiosity and encourages reflection. I invite you to step into these images. Linger, look closely, engage with what is seen and unseen, and perhaps recognize a part of yourself and find your own story and meaning.
